Original oil painting of a winter sunset. The sky is just starting to turn rosy around the edges of the clouds as the sun sinks lower in the winter sky.  Bare trees stand as a sentinel guard on the edge of the frozen St. Croix river. I painted this piece en plein air alongside my good friend and fellow artist Hannah C. Heyer. We painted looking in different directions while we chatted away.
